What is Ear Candling?
Ear candling, also known as ear coning, is a holistic therapy that involves the use of a hollow candle made from fabric soaked in beeswax. This ancient practice is believed to help remove excess earwax, alleviate pressure in the ears, & promote overall ear, nose & throat health.
The process is thought to create a gentle suction effect that draws impurities out of the ear canal.
How is it done?
During an ear candling session, the client lies comfortably on their side while Becca carefully inserts one end of the candle into the ear canal. The other end of the candle is lit, creating a warm environment that facilitates the removal of wax & debris. As the candle burns, it generates heat & creates a chimney / vacuum effect that may help draw out unwanted materials from within the ear.
In addition to this primary technique, our treatment incorporates Indian Head Massage, Reiki healing energy, & acupressure points targeting the ears, nose, & throat areas.
These complementary therapies work synergistically to enhance relaxation & promote overall well-being.
